1. What's the purpose of your business/art?
Keeping the family name going strong for years to come. The fact that i"m a third generation shaper is such a rarity, it's a good felling to be working with my dad in the same shop, swapping
ideas and learning his ways of building boards. Our family has been making surfboards since 1953, so to have all that knowledge right at my finger tips is amazing. Taking their techniques my
style and creativity, has created a new generation of Jacobs surfboads.
2. What inspires your work/product?
positive feedback for sure, seeing someone out in the water riding one of my shapes is awesome. The most inspirational part of it all is my dad and gramps
3. How does your community shape your vision?
Being involved in the community and getting to know my customers has really helped me take my business to the next level. Helping out the kids and keeping boards affordable is what it's all
about.
4. What are the three achievements you are most proud of?
First would have to be my family their awesome!
Second being my own boss working from home and getting to spend allot of time with my kids.
The Third getting into the family business having a job i absolutely love doing.
5. How does surfing/the ocean affect your decisions in business?
It all depends if there's waves. when it's flat i tend to get allot of work done.
6. What's your definition of "tombomb?"
